If they are installed correctly they work okay, eventually the connection will lose its conductivity and the fixture will go bad and fail. It is best to use a chandelier with direct wire connection as very rarely do they have problems and if they do they are very simply fixed.

They are easy to install and can be put anywhere you want with out running wires. They do work well. They are just as good as hard wired chanderliers.

Yes. The most important thing is to make sure you have hung the chandelier securely. Once it is up all you have to do is plug it in and enjoy your beautiful new light source. I've had wicker hanging chandeliers and pretty crystal ones, too. They worked great. You may need an extension cord if your outlet is far away.

yes,as long as wired right. usually an outlet is on the celing with a switch controlling it,the effect is just like a normal lighting fixture, just removable because of the plug. a dimmer switch can still be used, but then the outlet cannot safely be used for anything other than lights because of undervoltage.

Yes plug in chandaliers do work. Personally I don't think they look very good, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you are looking for a quick way to put up a light and you have no clue how to run a new switch and cut in a light then this may be best for you.

Yes, generally the plugs in the chandeliers do work. If they do have to outlet directly in them all they would need to have is the wires to work it.
