Jack rabbits or wild rabbits never make good pets. They are usually skittish and do not do well in home environments. There are many shelters around the country who have rabbits for adoption, that would be your best bet! I've rescued 2 bunnies, and I've had them 11 years.

Jack rabbits are wild rabbits not domesticated, if you get one as a bunny and raise it should be fine but if you catch it, probably not.

Jack rabbits are typically quite wild and tempermental. They do not make as good a pet as breeds of rabbits that have been bred for generation upon generation for their docility and quiet demeanor. Although individuals within breeds can occasionally go against the norm, it can be generalized that overall domesticated breeds are more gentle and even-tempered.

Most any animal if caught when they are young enough, will make a good pet. However, it is always a good idea to have a vet look at it.

Yes. Jack rabbits are great pets if you're a runner. Jack rabbits are really fast, so if you can run really fast, you should be able to keep up with them can catch them when they try to run away.
