Do I need insurance for homemade cosmetics?

Several of my friends come to me for their cosmetics and I want to make sure I do not need to be protected.

If you are selling these products to your friends, you need to have a liability policy to protect yourself. What if someone has a bad reaction because of your product? That friend then has the right to sue you, so you want to make sure that you have yourself covered.

If you only sell to a few people that you know and trust then you should be okay. If you plan to sell on a large scale they you do.

You may want to get a business insurance policy, both for the cost of goods if stolen or destroyed in a fire, as well as a business liability policy, in case you get sued.

Yes. If, for some reason, your cosmetics caused a bad reaction or some other undesirable outcome you could be sued. You should set up a limited liability company and then get some sort of insurance so that you cannot lose you personal wealth (home, savings, car etc. ) if you are sued.
