The problem with what most people call fruit flies is that they arn't fruit flies. These small flies actually breed in the drains in your house in most cases. they make a additive to pour down your drains to stop their breeding cycle.

Foggers that are designed to control fleas and ticks will also kill off mosquitos, flys, spiders and other insects so they would definitely work for fruit fly problems as well.

Yes, A fogging device will be very suitable for this purpose. The fog can be very detrimental to the fruit flies health.
