Many of the songs performed by BB King are traditional blues standards, such as "Every Day I Have the Blues," which has been performed by many other blues artists. "The Thrill is Gone," his signature song, was not written by King but by Rick Darness and Roy Hawkins in 1951.

I am sure he wrote most of his own music. He is a talented blues artist who has been around for many years. I am sure he has covered some other artist before like most artist do from time to time. In concert is where you can witness the originality in person.
