What exactly is it doing? Try to do a simple search on the internet for what it is doing or any error messages. My guess would be that it is disabled within internet options. If it isn't disabled, you might have some sort of virus or spyware blocking it. Try doing a scan for malicious programs.

This feature is not working on every page. First check whether it is ON: Tools|Internet Options -> Content and click "Settings" at AtoComplete section. If that doesn't help, try advanced: go to registry, to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor, double-click on the 'CompletionChar', type '9″ and press OK, the same for 'PathCompletionChar'.

You must go into Internet Explorer, then settings, and click on the tools tab. In there, make sure "autocomplete" is checked.

This is usually a cookie issue, or your password file is full. To see if it is your cookies, just delete them and then try again. If that does not work then go to start, then run, type *pwl, then select all and delete. You will no longer have any website or other passwords taking up space, and should autocomplete.

IF you're talking about Internet Explorer... Go to tools / Internet Options / content. Click on the autoComplete settings button. Then check the boxes you want autocomplete to autocomplete.

It is very important to remember that while using windows xp, even if the auto complete option is turned on, some webpages doesn't allow the auto complete option. So it shows that it is turned on, but actually we are working with the feature disabled. Try reconfiguring your auto complete option.

Maybe you haven't switched it on. Normally it is automatically activated after the installation of xp but check the registry key: HKCU | Software | Microsoft | Command Processor. The value "completion char" has to be 9 (= tab).

Click on the start button at the bottom left corner. Then find the "run" option and click it. In the space provided, type "cmd" and click the OK button. A box will open. Then right click title bar and click on the "defaults" option. Then choose the tab at the top labeled "options". On this screen, you'll see an "auotcomplete" check box.
