Can you paint over wood stain?

My house is all wood stain and I would like some paint.

You can paint the wood. You'll want to make sure the wood is in good condition, sand it and apply a quality primer. The primer will hold the new paint much better. Speak to the experts at the home improvement store about the best options.

Yes, you can paint over stained wood, but you will definitely need to prime the stained surfaces prior to painting to prevent bleeding through the newly painted surface. Yes , you can. Before that you remove all the stain from the wood and paint it. Remember polish is better than paint

You can paint over wood stain if the stain has not been sealed. If it has a glossey seal you'll have to remove this first before applying a paint designed for what you are painting.

yes! you need to clean sand any rough edges of the wood stain. next pain it with primer and your set for painting.
