Can you give me some career information on a theoretical physicist?

A physicist has at least a graduate degree in the field. A theoretical physicist pursues a PhD and then dedicates his career to research in the field. Often they also teach uppoer level courses at university.

A theoretical physicist may work on a particle accelerator, but far more work in cutting edge material research, such as determining how smaller circuit paths can be created for integrated circuits in computer chips or plastic molding. There are some theoretical physicists who work with astronomers to determine why a system evolved as it did.
