Can you do paternity testing while pregnant or do you need to wait til the baby is born?

I am seven months pregnant and my boyfriend's mother is raising hell that it's not her grandchild.

You have to wait for the baby to be born so you can do a paternity test. It usually requires testing the babies blood and cells to find out whether or not the baby is his child or not. They don't have the technology to perform testing during pregnancy. Sorry.

Paternity testing can be done with a chorionic villi sampling ( taken between 10-13 weeks) or amniocentesis (14-24 weeks). After the 24th week of the pregnancy, the paternity test must wait until after the birth.

Paternity testing while pregnant is completed using a procedure called Chorionic villi sampling, which consists collecting a sample of the placenta surrounding the baby. The sample DNA is compare with the father's DNA sample. The test results are usually available in 3-10 days.

Sincerelly I do not have an idea, but I think, but I`m not sure that you should wail until the baby is born.
