The legal term is Emancipation. According to most state laws, you must be at least 16 years old. You will also be responsible for your own housing, food, bills, and health care. You can also receive financial assistance from some states.

Today all things are possible and if you are of the age of majority you ca do it. If there is no president for this in your State you mayhave a long road ahead. This is one of those things that may be better served by having an attorney. The courts can be tough on pro-se applicants.

It is possible to divorce a parent. You must first consult a lawyer and have valid, court worthy evidence to show that a divorce would be granted based on your claims.

No, unfortunately, divorce is only for legal separation of married couples. You can petition the court to assign a new legal guardian or court appointed foster care (depending on your age and location of residence)and restrict your father's access to your inheritance if you feel he is not responsible to provide proper care. Good luck!

I think I heard of it being done once, but you should check with a lawyer or call your local court house for more info.

You can't divorce your parents, but there is something called "emancipation" that you could look into. You might get some help with that.

Move to another town and never phone. That should do the trick.
