Do not put hot water on a burn! Burns feel warm to the touch because the heat continues to burn your skin for some time. The only thing that will help is to cool the burn down, and stop it from burning. Use cool water, or ice wrapped in a washcloth. See a doctor if it's severe.

Heck no! I have never heard of that. If you put hot water on a burn that is already hot it will just make it more hot and hurt worse. That is why most burn lotions have a cooling feeling to them.

No you should not do this because water produces infection on your burned site. Application of ointments on the site is better.
