Some drugs to treat hyperthyroidism (too high levels of Thyroid hormones T3 and T4) may cause a rash in some people. Ej propylthiouracil. It's not the thyroid problem that may cause a rash but the treatment.

Your thyroid and parathyroid glands do control your bodies metabolism and temperature so it is possible to get a heat rash that is caused by your thyroid but unlikely. Rashes are usually caused by some kind of allergic reaction. It can be a skin contact reaction or a food allergy.

Yes, thyroid problems can cause a rash/hives. There is a strong connection between thyroid autoimmunity and hives, it's medically known as chronic uticaria.

Thyroid problems usually do not cause a rash. Dry, scaly skin can be a symptom but it would be accompanied by other symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes and depression.

Normally, rashes are caused by a particular bacteria. Likewise, thyroid autoimmunity would also be a cause for rash. The treatment with thyroid hormone would also propel rash as the side effects.

A rash may be associated with some types of thyroid conditions, though it is not a common finding. In one form of thyroid disease, Hashiomoto's thyroiditis, a rash has been reported and seems to be realted to the autoimmune nature of the disease. This creates a skin reaction, which does resolve as the disease is controlled.
