Can oxidation be used to power a generator?

Oxidation can not be used to power a normal generator because it does not burn or create the kind of energy that is required to power a regular generator. In theory, I suppose it is possible to build a generator that can be powered by this sort of chemical reaction.

Oxidation can produce heat and thus could be used to power a generator. The idea is academically viable. However, it would not be economically feasible to generate power in this manner. Current power generating costs range from USD$0. 02 - 0. 30 per kWh. It is doubtful that an oxidation-based generation process would be competitive in any market.

Yes an Ozone Generator is a form of oxidation generator used for odor control and water treatment plants. It can be used with algae control and UV light for pools.

oxidation cannot be used to power a generator, because power of generator should be some thing that can rotate a motor or a rotor because generator produces the electricity when the armature rotates in the magnetic field.

Yes. Combustion is an oxidation process by which a fuel is converted into heat, gas, and light. The heat from this reaction can be captured to power an electrical generator, either by making steam to turn a turbine, or by rapid pressurization, compression, and expansion to move a piston. Gasoline is commonly oxidized to power generators.

Yes. You will need a combustion engine which is mechanically connected to a generator. Combustion is a chemical process of a high-temperature oxidation of a fuel. This process is used in the engine to produce a mechanical energy. This mecanical energy is then transformed into electricity by a generator.

Yes to be honest with you it can be used as a power generator. However, there are many risks inherent in this because sometimes the oxidization process may not follow through as smoothly. As a result you have to be aware of the risks that are involved in this process.
