Can I continue my COBRA when I got Medicaid?

COBRA remains in effect as long as you pay for it, if you are paying out of pocket for the care. If the COBRA is provided during unemployment, until retirement or X years after death of the spouse, then you lose COBRA when you start new medical coverage.

I would also go for Medicaid since I actually have experience with that insurance. I had to to apply for it because no other insurance company would accpet me with a "pre existing condition" of pregnancy. It has been a blessing to have my docs visits and birth covered when it could have costed us thousands of dollars.
