Can chickens get lyme disease?

no chickens can not get this disease. you see chickens have a special immunity to lyme disease. if for instance a chicken was bitten by a lyme tick,the immune response would become strong, and the larva from the tick will die, not causing harm to the chicken

Anything that can be bitten by a tick can contract lyme disease. Some of the symptoms you want to look out for are lethargy, fever, loss of appetite, kidney damage, heart disorders, and neurologic disorders (including aggression, confusion, overeating) If you suspected that your chickens have contracted lyme disease you will want them to get checked out by a vet.

Chickens cannot get lyme disease. Their immune response is too strong for the disease to survive. Chickens are used as a means to control lyme tics by eating the the tics that carry lyme disease.

I've never heard of chickens getting lyme disease before. I believe only tick carrying animals can catch this. I don't think ticks can live on chickens because it would be hard for them to hang onto feathers as opposed to fur.

Lyme disease comes from deer tick and many other types of ticks. Do not let your chickens run around in a largly wooded area. If you think they are in an area with ticks, try a tick collar for dogs, they can be cut small to fit around your chicken neck. Also take them to the vet to get tested.
