Ingesting enough aspirin can kill you, although it will take either a truly massive dose or very large doses over a long period of time. Aspirin is not good for your stomach, and can cause damage if used excessively. If used normally, however, aspirin is safe.

Anything can kill you with a high enough dose, even water. Toxicity levels vary from person to person, but copious amounts of aspirin can kill. Many people are allergic to aspirin. Allergic reactions can lead to anaphylactic shock, which can also kill you.

Aspirin's main ingredient is "Acetylsalicylate." Very rarely young people can develop a deadly condition called "Reye's syndrome" after taking Acetylsalicylate/aspirin for the first time. You should always ask a doctor before medicating a child.

Too much of anything, even water, can kill you. Aspirin can cause your stomach to bleed if you take it on an empty stomach and that also can be dangerous. Aspirin is basically a safe drug if you take it with food.

Aspirin can cause ulceration in your stomach and in higher doses this can lead to a bleeding ulcer. Aspirin also causes less formation of blood clots and a bleeding tendency. Aspirin overdose affects the kidneys, causes acid and then alkali accumulation. All these can kill you!

Aspirin is a known blood thinner. Many people with heart disease take a supplemental dosage amount to keep their blood from being more prone to clotting. Since it is a blood thinner, if too many aspirin tablets are ingested, abnormal bleeding can occur and can kill a person.
