Can an employer refuse to pay me for two weeks because he changes the pay dates?

Old pay schedule was work two weeks get paid for those two weeks; new schedule holds two weeks. So my boss just skipped a paycheck to make this work for him, and I missed my mortgage payment.

Your employer can change the pay schedule and hold two weeks back. However, he CANNOT refused to pay you for the previous two weeks. Check the dates on the paycheck to make sure you were NOT paid for hours worked, then call the Labor Board immediately.

He is completely obliged to pay you for that time; if he didn't pay you on time he needs to pay for the time you left and you should speak to him and then a lawyer about late fees related to your mortgage payment. You work, you get payed. There's no such thing as free work if pay was agreed.

Yes that is legal. You have to remember that you dont get paid until the following week. If you work one week, you wont get paid until next week and so on.
