Brain injuries can easily cause spastic and uncontrolled movements, especially if there is damage to the nerves leading to and from the mouth.

A brain injury can cause you to have no symptoms at all, blindness, forgetfulness, epileptic-like seizures and anything else up to and including death, that includes mouth jerks too!

Yes. The brain is the most important part of the bosy. if some injury takes ploace, this can cause many defects. You loose your memory, your mouth jerks, you loose your balace, etc.
