There are numerous thyroid conditions from inflammation to tumor, however, none of them can be considered lightly. Thyroid is a very important endocrine organ in our body. Thus seeking herbs to help with thyroid 'condition' might be not a good idea because herbs are not FDA approved.

In order to create the thyroid hormone, the body needs the essential mineral liodine. Liodine can be found in seaweed kelp. You should be able to find an herbal supplement in a healthfood store or any other vitamin shop. You will also need plenty of Vitamin E in order for your body to properly break down the liodine.

For an underactive thyroid problem, herbs that are high in iodine such as Bladderwrack are often recommended. It will aid in increasing the production of thyroid gland hormones. Bacopa can also be useful in stimulating the thyroid. For additional adrenal stress support consider trying Withania, Licorice, Codonopsis and Siberian Ginseng.

There really are no herbs that will help with the thyroid long term. A thryoid condition is serious and should be treated by a medical doctor and not with over the counter remidies.

It will depend on the type of thyroid condition you have what type of herbal remedy may work for you. People who suffer from hypothyroidism, or under active thyroid, have been known to use Sage either in cooking or in teas for thyroid support. Hyperthyroidism, or over active thyroid is known to be helped by lemon balm.
