Well, just leave the foods that your normally leave unless you know they are going to rot. You will need some kind of ion based materials for them to consume. How about investing in an automatic feeder system so that your turtles are not derived. This is a great alternative.

yes there are. You can leave your aquatic turtles with aquatic plant, salad material, assorted, Tubifex and blood worms. Break cuttle fish bone and let it leave on the surface of water. Turtles love is and also this way you can feed valuable calcium and other trace elements from it.

Most turtles are omnivores. This means that they like both meat and veggie foods. Try this out before you leave and you may find it's a good choice. Put some small minnows in the tank. Many turtles will eat what they want as they want it.

Yes. I suggest leaving live food with your turtles while on vacation. You can pick up rosy red minnows at PetSmart for 12 cents each. The turtles have to work to catch and eat them. They won't be able to eat all thier food at once. You can also try crayfish from a bait store.

It depends on how long you go on vacation. If you leave for just a weekend, they are just fine at home. Put a lot of dry food in tank before you leave. Not too much because they may eat it all at once.If you leave for about a week, buy dozen feeder fish or guppies.
