Mesquite wood chunks are great for barbeque grills. Mesquite wood is most common for smoking red meats, fish and poultry. - They add a wonderful smokey and earthy flavor to your food. If you soak the wood for 1 to 2 hours, you can most definitley add to the flavor of your meats.

Mesquite wood chunks are a good choice for grilling. They add a nice, sort of Southwestern flavor, and can be used with all kinds of beef and chicken, even peppers. They have a strong flavor and so a little goes a long way. Too much can make the foods taste bitter.

If they are cheap enough the yes but only if you actually plan on doing some smoking. You can use it to grill with but it is better for smoking.

In my experience, mesquite chips can really add depth of flavor to your grilled foods. I would say yes. I am also a fan of apple and maple wood.

Flavor wise, yes depending on what exactly you are cooking, however price wise, I assume charcoal is relatively much cheaper. If you are cooking expensive steak for example, Mesquite wood chunks would work amazingly and increase the consumption pleasure.

They can be if you are competing in some kind of grilling competition, but if it just for day to day grilling, then a nicely infused mesquite rub, marinade, or sauce will yield similar results for a fraction of the price you would pay for the one time use of chips.
