There are some medical conditions that preclude you from using an inversion table. You may want to talk to your doctor if you are being treated for high blood pressure as being inverted might raise your pressures. That being said, some believe that being inverted will actually decrease blood pressure due to the relaxed state of your body during inversion.

Inversion tables can be safe to use but before using one make sure if you do have any back pain you know what the pain is. When anyone uses this table with a back condition make sure you consult your doctor first. The benefits could be great.

These tables are safe when used in short increments of time, perhaps up to 10 minutes. They allow for stretching of the spine and skeletal muscles, as well as working against gravity to reduce pressure on internal organs, allowing movement into their natural positions. This improves digestive flow. The temorary increased blood flow to the brain is a bonus!

Inversion tables are safe as long as you don't start off too much too fast. Depending on your reason for using this method there are verying degrees of use.
