Each state sets its own requirements. Every applicant is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The academic transcripts and teaching certifications are reviewed to assure that the all the requirements are met or exceeded. The applicant would then be advised if additional coursework or other training is required for certification as a teacher in that state.
Because each state has different requirements for teaching, your certificate might not be accepted without some additional education. You should research the state you are interested in teaching in to see what you need.
