A new My Book 500 would probably run you about $80 - $90. I'd suggest either going to Newegg or Amazon. If you don't mind used then try eBay.

I am not very familiar with a My Book 500, but when I looked up the price I found it at Amazon for about $170.00.

It depends on where you buy it. I would suggest amazon- about fifty five bucks. Or maybe e-bay, i just found an item there for fifty dollars only. Then again, it all depends on where you live.
